About the Blog

Welcome to the Dawe Nest things have been so fun in our little family and this is a way for me to share them. I'm currently a homemaker and post some our family's goings on here to help my sanity as well as share some the cool ideas that I find on the internet and use such as crafts and recipes. I'm super stubborn and frugal so when it comes to making something for around the house one of the first things I do is see if I can do it for free or with things I already have. This might equate to doing some math to making some yarn I have work for a crochet pattern. I also love to try and find happiness in my home and making things feel happy, through the little things like keeping our sweet little makeshift kitchen clean or directing the airflow through the house to cool it (because we live in an attic space). I also have a one year old who is finally old enough to start doing hilarious things like climbing into the tub and getting stuck or stealing my brother's sandwich or even falling asleep at the table while eating. Our family was established in August of 2014 when I married my high school sweet heart (it's a common Utah thing) and our son was born in April of 2016. Things are so fun everyday as our family grows up (just a little).
